stomach virus round 3

I mean, seriously, how many times can your family go through a stomach virus in 6 months time? I'll end up on a diet just from throwing up so many foods that I never want to see again. Whatever Turner and I had with the one day fever must have been a virus because my high school kids have had it too. Then the stomach virus started around the school again last week. Arthur got it around 3 am Tuesday morning and I had it before midnight the same day. I kept praying last night that Turner would sleep through the night just because I didn't know if either one of us was capable of taking care of him! I'm still praying that Turner is spared this round. After throwing up before midnight, I kept thinking maybe I'll feel better now so that I won't have to find a sub for school today. And believe me, it is not easy finding a sub the second week of school. And students need not ask if I'll order spaghetti plates next year for Gator night. Just seeing spaghetti sauce in the fridge today made my stomach churn. And of course, I didn't have time to go buy Arthur sprite or anything to settle his stomach yesterday, so I was left today with nothing until Kristi showed up on my doorstep with apple juice and sprite this afternoon. It's amazing how grateful you can be for such a simple act of kindness. I didn't even have to ask for it--she just called me and said I'm bringing something over for you! Friends are so good to have! I just wish I knew how we could keep from getting this dreadful disease. I keep a can of Lysol on the counter. I clean my house on a somewhat regular basis. I wash and clorox everything as soon as one of us shows signs of being sick. But somehow, we catch everything that goes around school!!!! Will it ever end????? I thought this year would be better. Don't you build up immunity when you've been working in the school system? Can't one virus skip our house every now and then??
