visits with aunts

Sorry it's been a while. Last week was VBS and ACT Prep and Big River rehearsal and I just never found the time to get on here. Arthur's sister Lynn came to visit us in Grove Hill and so there are pics of her with Turner. Then we went to visit Arthur's sister Noel in Hattiesburg so there are pics of her with Turner as well. Turner gets to go on his first long road trip Sunday. He and my mom are joining me on a youth trip to Jackson, MS. They will be staying at a friend's house while we attend Centrifuge camp at Mississippi College. So, he'll be close enough by for me to visit during free time but he won't get in the way of my job responsibilities for the week. I haven't had to go more than a night without him yet, so I feel better knowing that I don't have to go 5 days without seeing him--just yet. We'll go for his 4 month visit on Friday July 10th and get more of those shots that didn't agree with him a few months ago. But according to our scales, he's already up to 19 lbs and 27" long!

they're still coming

I figured I had better put some more pics up since some of you download them to photo centers and have them printed yourselves. You'd think we'd do a better job of giving people photos to show off, but we don't---sorry! Glad you're resourceful enough to know how to get what you want w/out depending on us!

More pics

A little background on a couple of these photos---The little touchdown outfit was actually my brother Jeff's. The hat Turner is wearing was Arthur's dad's. Come to think of it, the outfit in the bubbles shot was John Allen's (my friend Rachel's son). So, the only outfit that Turner wore that was actually given to him was the one in the family/camera shots!

1st family shoot/Turner's 1st studio shoot

There are so many more pictures to show you, but here are a couple that Arthur did get to edit last night. Turner let us take photos of him for about 2 hours Saturday morning, which is longer than most of Arthur's older clients last. Most babies we're lucky if we even get 30 minutes in with them. We tried to do some family shots, and Arthur and I quickly learned that Turner looked much better without his parents in the photo! We took some photos that had Turner indulging in some of his parents' favorite hobbies as well. I think we have a future singer in our midst. (and maybe a photographer too!) I'll try to get some more up later in the week after Arthur has a chance to edit them.

come on in, the water's fine

Saturday, I blew up an old inflatable whale pool I had lying around the house (actually in the shed) for Turner to get his first experience with swimming! We cleaned it up as much as we could, put some water in it, let the water warm up a bit, and then moved the pool back to where there was a little bit of shade before we enjoyed some time soaking up the rays! The poor fellow got lathered down in sunscreen 3 times that afternoon. I was so afraid I would mess up and let him get burned. I also blew up a beach ball and took out one of his bath toys to play with. He had a blast with that ball--I helped him bat at it and he kicked at it and laughed and smiled the whole time. The poor whale started deflating before the afternoon was over so I'm afraid I'm going to have to go buy a new pool if we're to do this again. (I'm thinking the $5 plastic one will be a lot easier!) One of the neighbors saw us and came over and got a kick out of ole Turner kicked back in the pool. We got an even bigger kick out the fact that his swim trunks had a pocket on the inside for a key!!! What does a 3 month old need to keep up with a key for? But as you can see from the pics, he seemed to enjoy himself and wore himself out so much he slept most of the day. Which has made for some rough days and nights since then, might I add! Our schedule's all out of whack now!
