last update before the deal is done

This will probably be the last blog I write before we tie the knot. Arthur is now sick, but I don't think his is the virus of flu like symptoms that I caught. His is a sore throat, lots of congestion, more like his usual sinus infection symptoms (and BTW he's come down with this every few months since Dec of last year!). So, we'll see how he feels tomorrow and during the honeymoon. Don't forget that if you're in Atlanta tomorrow evening around 7 pm we should be at Piedmont Park if you want to join us for the 5 min ceremony. And if you're in Thomasville on Sat May 31, stop by the Champion House at 2 pm for the reception. I'll catch you up after June 1 on how everything turned out!

Getting Sick

So I start running a fever Wednesday and it's still at 101 today. Yesterday I couldn't make myself get up to do anything, but today I've had to force myself to. Too much to get done in the next few days to be lying around now complaining about body aches, congestion, fatigue, etc. Plus, I have my last shower tonight with all the girls from back in the days of ASCC. Hopefully it will be over by Wed and pray that Arthur doesn't get it after me. I really don't want our wedding/honeymoon/reception days to be remembered because of illness.

update on engagement announcements

People who have seen the "local" papers have commented on how beautiful the photo was and wanted to know the details of the wedding, since we purposefully left those out. Anyone who struggled hard to find the tiny write up in the Mobile Press Register should know that we cut out all of my info to bring the price down to $78!!! Our original announcement was going to cost us over $400 to run!!! So, we just left Arthur's info, since he's the one from Mobile. We have fought with the Meridian Star the last week trying to get things taken care of with them. Their $40 fee didn't sound so bad after the quote from the Press Register! hahah But trying to get people to talk to you at the Star and help you out was a nightmare and I still can't tell you when it's going to run. But keep your eye out in Meridian the next few Sundays and see if it shows up. And save us a copy if it does. Or at least let us know so that we can make arrangements to buy a copy to keep for the scrapbook.

I think the last shower is now scheduled for this Friday, May 16th at 6 pm at Kristi Smith's house. Hopefully I'll have the scrapbook semi-updated for the reception! I know I still have some pics to upload on here, and I'm sure there's lots more to tell you in the next few weeks, but I'm not guaranteeing anything at this point in time!! My blogs may remain dormant til June but I'm going to try to hook you up between now and then!!! :)

If you're planning on coming to Arthur's house after the reception on the 31st, please let us know in the next few weeks so that we can get an idea of how many to plan for. We've definitely decided on Piedmont Park for the wedding location, so if you're in Atlanta on May 21st come join us. I think we're going to try to do a few more bridal shots in the studio this weekend, so be on the lookout for those. Ok, that's all the random info for now......
